First Aid Course for Nannies

As there is a need that each nanny has to know how to provide adequate first aid immediately after an accident, in order to reduce the percentage of harmful consequences to the health of the child, we have created unique first aid training aimed at providing first aid to children.

Everyday questions that nannies are faced with starting from the basics:

  • What if blood starts bleeding from the child’s nose?
  • How to react if the child chokes and starts losing oxygen?
  • How to handle an injury immediately?
  • What is the Heimlich procedure, and why is it important?

In order to be sure that a nanny will know how to adequately face a problem and assist the child who suffered any incident sensibly and diligently, we made sure to provide training with practical examples and practice the mitigation of physical trauma. The goal of this training is to get attendees familiarised with crises dangerous for children’s health where it is of crucial importance to react quickly and adequately.

First Aid Training is held in small groups where attendees have an opportunity to get familiar with first aid basics and behaviour in crises through interactive work and numerous practical examples. The training aims at providing all participants with the basic knowledge of first aid techniques for children.

Our trainer, Zehra Oruci, is a teacher of Health Care, health care for children of early age and first aid in the medical school “St. Vasilije Ostroški”. Since 2012, she has been engaged as a lecturer of first aid in the Red Cross of Serbia.

Note: We ask the participants to come to the training in comfortable clothes. The course includes practical work, including your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting. If you have any physical limitations that may interfere with the performance of these activities, please share them with your trainer, and we will do our best to adapt our course to you.
